"I am moving in 9-2, but am so impressed with the staff so far, and Juliet Chandler especially has been so welcoming and helpful. This is a hard step for me and her kindness and empathy are greatly appreciated."

"I w as in need of a short term stay while repairs were being made to an apartment I rent. I have Multiple Sclerosis, so the normal options like Extended Stay America or a VRBO have a number of obstacles to success. Dining out or Grub Hub just didn't seem like a good option. I also need the handicap facilities without the obstacles of things like normal bathtubs to step over, typically without grab rails. And parking can be an issue with proximity and the terrain in the typical motels. I had memories of my mother in law who had moved there when living alone in her home became too much. She enjoyed her time there so I made a call. Juliet fielded my inquiry and I made a visit. Everything I needed was set up for success. Wilson, Executive Director and Juliet answered all my questions. My living experience was excellent. I quickly got to know a number of the residents. Who you live with makes a difference, and I found this group to be a very nice, interesting, and welcoming group of people. I looked forward to seeing them at meals. I found a mix of locals and people from all over the USA. There were interesting stories of careers and lives spent all over the world along with different parts of the USA. That made it fun. The location was good as well, with access to the post office, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, and Mercer Island Books. I had everything I needed to be successful. And the friendly staff ensured it was easy."

"Our Dad recently made the decision to relocate from a home he loved out of state and make Island House his new home. He has no regrets and says he is so happy living at Island House. Dad enjoys the sense of community, the location, the meals, and especially the other residents and friendly, caring, professional management/staff. Juliet welcomed us with kindness and care on our initial visits to learn more about Island House before Dad made his decision. There was a feeling of integrity and wanting to make sure that Island House would be a good place for Dad – not just a sales pitch. Our family enjoys visiting Dad at Island House regularly and have gotten to know the wonderful people who work there. We are so very pleased that Dad chose Island House and so is he."

"I recently toured Island House located in downtown Mercer Island with Juliet Chandler. She is a true professional who meets you with kindness and grace (and knowledge). She will answer all your questions truthfully. The apartments at this facility are some of the nicest I have seen, and they wrap around a gorgeous outdoor garden area. There is a feeling of friendliness and warmth here, as well as delicious meals and lots to do."

"I arrived at Island House earlier this year not knowing what to expect from an Assisted Living Facility. The anticipation of being a "newbie" was not pleasant. However, I was welcomed by everyone. I have many people to thank for helping me adjust to Island House. However, two people on staff are, in my opinion, outstanding and I feel I must express my gratitude. Yasmeen, the front desk receptionist, is always willing and able to answer any questions I may have. She is always in a happy mood, is most willing to help and makes me feel as if I am the most special person residing here. It's a people skill not everyone can convey; and yes, I know I'm not that special. She is a delight and I hope you appreciate her efforts on your behalf. Also on my list of special people is Sandra (BOM). We must have been related in previous lives. She always makes me laugh and seems to know me better than I know myself. She always is willing to go the extra mile and her energy seems boundless. Island House would not be the same without her; and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Thank you to Yasmeen and Sandra for just being the great people you are."

"We recently toured Island House located in downtown Mercer Island in hopes of finding a new home for my father. We met with Juliet Chandler who greeted us with warmth and kindness. Our tour was very comprehensive and she was able to answer most of our questions. When she couldn’t, she found someone who could. I’m excited to say that my father is moving in soon!"

"Island House is the perfect place for my Dad! We are so glad we found it last December. He loves his apartment, gets 3 meals a day and has made lots of friends. The staff truly care about him! I highly recommend Island House. It is such a convenient location as well!"
