"Hello Good morning My name is Theresa I started working here at the palisades back in 2022 as laundry attendant. The short time doing the resident's clothing I got to know them. As the months went by we lost our housekeepers, so I was pulled from laundry to help in housekeeping. At first there were times it got rough, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I have gotten to know all the resident's and made friends with them. When Mr and Mrs Jeff Dunn were here they really touched my heart. It was like having my grandparents back. I have seen people leave this world finishing thier last chapter of their lives. I love my job here, I wouldn't change it for anything or anybody. The families here are so lost at times to see thier love ones spiraling out of control. Not remembering who they are or can't remember what they just talked about. I am always giving them good thoughts to think about. For I know what thier going through for I have seen it first hand with my Daddy. So I know what they go through. And I will always be there to give them good vibes and something to talk about. My smile is always what they needed to see to make thier days better."

"I am so happy at the end of the trail that I have discovered Palisades I absolutely love it. I moved 38 times. My husband was in the army. I loved him dearly and he just passed away last month so I’m learning how to live independently and I’ve experienced life in its fullest. I have lived all over the world. Hawaii and I have lived in places like Germany Where I had to be independent. I moved to Colorado Springs upon my husband‘s retirement and unfortunately he had diabetes and had both legs amputated. Therefore, the residence that we were living in the retirement residence we had to move from because they couldn’t take care of him so we moved around quite a bit trying to find a place that would be appropriate for his medical needs so unfortunately we found several but at the end we were up in Woodland Park where I had a problem with oxygen my husband Passed away after we were there seven months therefore the 38th move occurred for me to come back down the hill and move to Palisades that was my very very very best move. I love it here. I love everything about it. The people, the staff, the residence. All of the people that I have met couldn’t be more friendly, but the best part is the food . I just love every meal the people in the dining room I’ve been outstanding, I come with my dog because she is the support dog and I feel like I don’t wanna leave her alone. I don’t want her to have that feeling like a baby when mommy goes away and leaves the baby in the crib. I don’t want her screaming at the door . I love this place that eventually I will wean her away from me and I will begin going to the pool. I saw that pool and I asked the water temperature and I found out that I can get in it without screaming how it’s cold I won’t do that in this boy promised me I am a swimmer I swim in college I taught water aerobics all over the world. I am a water aerobics instructor Doctor told me I have the best joints he has ever seen beside beer joint that he’s gone to put my joy. Joy are very flexible. I have no pain I don’t ever have to take a pain pill because of that pool and I don’t want a lot of people now to come to the pool so there’s no room for me so just ignore the pool even if you look bad in the bathing suit, I’m telling you it’s worth it. Many doctors have told me that’s how I survived. I had a surgery a year ago they gave me 2 to 4 days to live And I live long enough to move to Woodland Park to be with my husband when he took his last breath and come down to Palisades . I have finally found my home and I hope God gives me more years so that I can enjoy Palisades at Broadmoor Park. I love it here. Thanks to all the people that have made it So."
