"We moved to this assisted living facility on the recommendation of our son-in-law, who retired from the Mountlake Terrace Police Department, after viewing two facilities in Lynnwood. This place is just the right size for us, with a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment on the first floor and plenty of open spaces to move around. We feel safe walking outside around the community with our dog Charlie, even on separate occasions. We have been especially impressed with Jenny, the server, who consistently provides excellent table service, and Annie in Activities, whose smiles, good personalities, and creative ideas always keep us looking forward to new things every day. We always receive reminders and invitations to activities and social events. The blackjack games, bingo and putting practice have helped me improve my focus, concentration, and balance. Even though Barbara doesn't play golf, she enjoys socializing with other residents in the lively atmosphere the games create. It's wonderful that the staff, like Donna at the front desk, join in the putting games, showcasing her golfing talent. We've made many friends in our nearly year-long stay here. Chef Dave surprised us with a special meal for our 58th anniversary, making us feel wonderful as many residents congratulated us. The big family social events are important to us, as they allow us to invite our family to dine with us. The food here is great, with a variety of options on the weekly menu. The holiday bazaar with Santa and the carolers brought us happy memories, especially with our friend Joe playing Santa and taking a great picture with Charlie. Everyone loves Charlie, and he is treated like family. The residents and staff are easy to get along with, and there are so many activities to choose from, making our life here fulfilling and enjoyable."

"Choosing Mountlake Terrace Plaza for my mother-in-law's care has been one of our best decisions. The staff here are absolutely incredible! They greet everyone by name with warm smiles every time we walk in, making us feel right at home from the start. Our search for a 2B/2B with a kitchen in the Edmonds and Brier area led us to Mountlake Terrace Plaza. After a disappointing first choice, the glowing reviews of this community convinced us to take a tour. We were instantly impressed! The location is unbeatable, it's surrounded with tall evergreen trees, the library, park, city hall, police department, and pedestrian friendly walkways all just across the street. The room we chose is perfect, a peaceful corner lot with plenty of shade and delightful bird watching from the window. The manager reassured us that my mother-in-law's wellbeing would be their top priority, and they've truly delivered on that promise. Our weekly visits are always a joy, thanks to the amazing staff. Luke, the maintenance assistant, is a friendly gem who makes every fix look effortless. Kathy, a caregiver, has formed a wonderful bond with my mother-in-law, providing care that feels personal and heartfelt. The in-house physical therapy service is top-notch. Erin, the Clinical Director, created a motivating and manageable program that has made a real difference. Anne, the Wellness Programming Director, is a dynamo, creative, fun and always keeping her residents engaged with exciting activities. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with her, and the activities she plans for her residents and their families are truly inspiring. Her kindness and compassionate heart shine through in everything she creates. We never miss joining fun-loving Gladys' sing-along sessions and interactive games are a hit. I accompanied my mother-in-law to all the fitness classes regimen, especially the stretching and balancing sessions, and I ended up exercising with the group. This has even inspired me to get in shape! The events here are a blast, full of fun entertainment and rich cultural experiences. I've attended several, and they feature the most charming and witty programs that leave you laughing and smiling wide. There's always something happening from morning to night, and we make sure to sign up or arrive early to get a good seat. The menu and food are always served in generous portions. The dining staffs are friendly, and they ensure that you are not missing your meal times. Housekeeping is always on time and follows a set schedule. The cleanliness is impeccable and the sheets are always washed and fresh. Mountlake Terrace Plaza isn’t just a care facility. It's a vibrant and welcoming community that feels like family. We’re happy to have found this place for our loved ones. From our experience, we know she’s receiving care with genuine compassion and joy. My mother-in-law is happy, made great friends, and truly thrives here. This is the perfect place for her!"

"Mountlake Terrace Plaza- I wanted to express my gratitude for making my grandmother—Jeanne Eisen— experience at your facility a blessing. I speak with her daily on the various activities, conversations, and experiences she has at The Plaza, and she is always in high spirits and has grown while being in the community. Particularly, as we are a family that expresses love around meals and the dinner table, she always has positive things to share about the dining hall, the staff, and the overall meal experience. The waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating, and has taken time to get to know my grandmother on a personal level. The amount of care and attention they exude does not go unnoticed by my family, and we so appreciate the attentiveness to not only my grandmother but all of the residents. The chefs are accommodating and take the initiative to learn meal preferences and will explore recommendations upon request—making The Plaza feel more like a home. The food always comes out on schedule, which is much appreciated when my grandmother looks forward to socializing during dinner hour. She never misses a meal or chance to gather with her friends at dinner, and it brings me a lot of peace knowing she has this consistent schedule and time where she can express the joy in sharing a meal with others. It has also been a great experience to join her on these occasions from time to time, and see how she is thriving. Final note, David the Head Chef, always works to accommodate the residents request, regardless of the inventory or perhaps not having all the ingredients to work with to satisfy the request. He is able to be creative and cook up something new to please my Grandma. He is always asking my Grandmother/ the residents on watt to make the dining experience better and takes feedback in a positive manner. Just wanted to share my thanks and reiterate our appreciation for the love, care and attentiveness (especially during meal time) . Sincerely, Kyle Eisen"

"Having volunteered in several other senior living communities, I can honestly say none compare to the experience at Mountlake Terrace Plaza. From the moment I walk in, whether it's to teach crochet or assist with alterations, I’m greeted with a laid-back, down-to-earth, and incredibly homey atmosphere. The residents are warm, friendly and truly welcoming. I’ve built so many meaningful connections with them. The staff are equally exceptional, from Sally at the front desk who always greets me with a big smile, to Jeff and Jenny in the dining room who go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels cared for. The activities department does an incredible job keeping the residents engaged with a variety of fun and stimulating events. I truly enjoy the positive atmosphere every time I walk in, it's comforting and energizing all at once. What really sets Mountlake Terrace Plaza apart is the strong sense of community and the genuine kindness that flows throughout the building. Every visit is a positive experience, there's never been a moment where I felt anything but completely comfortable. While I’ve had the opportunity to walk through and volunteer in other senior living communities, none have offered the same homey feeling that I experience at Mountlake Terrace Plaza. With my mother-in-law searching for her new home, I can confidently say this community would be the perfect fit."

"I live across the street and volunteer to teach a painting class once a month. The program Director, Anne is super bubbly and so encourages the residents to stay engaged in all activities. She buzzes thru the place reminding residents to join in. Gladys is her assistant and she is super friendly and helpful. WE have been invited to eat on occasions and the kitchen staff are delightful. Front desk Sally is always so friendly. They honor all the residents."

"Mountlake Terrace Plaza has the feeling of a family community as soon as you step through the front door. As a volunteer chaplain it's been such a pleasure to get to know the staff from Anne Paine, the Wellness Director, and her assistant Glady to Sally and Donna at the front desk, and Jeff and others in the dining room and more. Everyone is so genuinely caring and friendly and obviously enjoys helping the residents. Taking a real personal interest in everyone right down to knowing the names of their pets! The upbeat atmosphere that creates is one where the residents can relax and enjoy themselves and start to feel at home and begin making new friends. -Chaplain Mary Brown"

"We'd like to thank MLT Plaza for the care and effort put into planning special events. The recent Veterans' Day celebration in particular meant a lot to our dad and was a meaningful time for us all. Hearing a synopsis from the guests, and of each resident’s service was impacting to all, and the veterans felt seen. You find so many interesting guests or activities to feature, to brighten days and uplift spirits! Thank you."

"As soon as we walked into your building we were greeted by such friendly and welcoming people. From the front desk, to the happy and engaging residents, to all the wonderful people there. You gave us so much of your time and attention. Then, we gave our performance for such a welcoming group of people - we had such a blast being there! We gave, they gave - sheer joy. They were so kindly offered us a meal and the staffs there were so kind and engaging with us. What a wonderful treat! I just want to honor the power of kindness that we got to experience today. In talking to Anne and her loving comments about all the activities they have to keep seniors engaged with all sorts of cultural, political, and healthy opportunities, I was most struck by her strong intention of kindness and engaged lifeforce. As a senior myself, it is very easy to feel isolated and disappointed in the world and its outcome in my span of time on it. It takes rooted intention to keep joy happening. It takes muscle! And I saw that she uses that on a daily basis - bringing muscle to kindness, engagement, humor (lots of humor, by the way), and love. She loves her job and loves her residents and her co-workers. It shows in the smallest kindnesses, along with the huge obvious ones. This place and the people who all thrive in it are the real deal! I am completely inspired by my time there! Mountlake Terrace Plaza have created a very healing and life affirming environment for these people. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your intent. And thank you for being so open to sharing. Thank you for everything. We felt it. It's very cool to see and experience that in action! Big hug and thank you so much for your service to those that you care for so abundantly!"

"I've gotten to know MTP as a volunteer. My little theater group will be performing for the residents. Also, I am a friend of one of the residents. MTP is truly outstanding. Physically, it's a very nice facility--not grandiose but comfy and beautifully maintained. The meals I've eaten there were very tasty. But the best thing is that the residents truly enjoy living here. There is energy and enthusiasm wherever you go. I have recommended MTP to friends who are thinking about a retirement community, and I'm happy to post a review for anyone to see."

"My mother has been a resident of Mountlake Terrace Plaza for over 2 years and we are very grateful for the care and support she receives from all of the staff at MLTP. Every staff member is helpful and engaging. They address the residents by name and work hard to build sense of community. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained and the garden area is beautiful in summer. There is a full activity calendar, that includes a weekly visit by the local Catholic parish, which is important to my mom. The staff genuinely cares about residents and strives to make every day a positive experience."
