Honoring our CNAs & Med Techs

In honor of National Nursing Assistant's Week, we are saluting our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP).

Nursing assistants have been recognized during June for the last 43 years. This annual celebration shows support and appreciation for the professionals who provide quality, compassionate elderly care throughout the world. These care professionals play a pivotal role in everyday life of the elderly, chronically ill, and rehabilitation patients who are unable to care for themselves.

At MBK Senior Living, CNAs and QMAPs are a vital part of our care team. CNAs help increase residents' mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being in addition to providing essential support for residents' needs. Our QMAPs, or Med Techs as they're also known, not only manage residents' daily medications intake, they also tend to resident care needs and overall well-being.

"Our CNAs and Med Techs fill an essential role in MBK communities," said Crystal Roberts, National Director of Resident Enrichment. "They are often regarded as much more than a caregiver as they also fill the role of a friend, family, or trusted advocate for quality resident care."

During the COVID-19 crisis, CNAs and QMAPs also filled a fundamental role in keeping MBK residents calm, comfortable, and connected with family and friends.

"So many of our residents were introduced to new technology and apps as a result of COVID restrictions that changed their daily routines, socialization, and active lifestyle," said Roberts.

"Our team members tirelessly worked with residents to help them stay engaged, active, and connected to loved ones, despite circumstances. We can't thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to resident care," added Roberts.

To all our caregivers, and especially our CNAs and Med Techs this week, thank you for all you do. We appreciate you!

It's What We're Here For

"

Every time that I visited my dad, I enjoyed myself from the moment I walked in the door. The place is just alive! It was always a pleasure to go in and be greeted by name and say hello to everyone, staff and residents.
