MBK Senior Living Rises 12 Places, Ranks 11th Best Workplaces in Aging Services

|

For the third year in a row, MBK Senior Living has been named a "Best Workplace in Aging Services" by Fortune Magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute. This designation comes on the heels of 18  of the company's communities being named "Best in Senior Living" by U.S. News & World Report – making MBK communities the best place to live and work!

"We aim to be the senior living provider of choice in each market we serve. We purposefully work to provide the best quality, service, and care in such a way that our residents couldn't think of living elsewhere," said Jeff Fischer, president of MBK Senior Living.

"The same could be said for the atmosphere and opportunities we provide our team members. We work diligently to provide a positive work environment, build mutual trust and respect, ask for and act on ways to improve, work efficiently, and have fun," added Fischer.

"I'm incredibly proud of the MBK team," said Fischer. "They've faced a myriad of challenges since 2020 and have remained dedicated to exceeding the expectations of those we serve. I'm not surprised. In the spirit of Yoi Shigoto, MBK team members have always aimed to do 'what's right, not what's easy.'"

Yoi Shigoto translates to "good, quality work" and is realized in MBK communities through acts that create an environment of respect, security, care, and compassion. These qualities align with the Great Place to Work Institute evaluations that focus on more than 60 elements of team members' experience on the job, including employee pride in the organization's community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees' experiences, no matter who they are or what they do. The Great Place to Work Institute considered more than 1,000 employee surveys across MBK's 35 locations and home office.

With over 30 years of experience in the senior living and health & human service industries, MBK Senior Living has earned a solid and persistent reputation for its lasting company culture based on pursuit, purpose, and principles. More than a mission statement, the company practices these values daily to build trust, set high standards, develop the full potential of residents and team members, contribute to society and do the right thing – always!

It's What We're Here For

"

Every time that I visited my dad, I enjoyed myself from the moment I walked in the door. The place is just alive! It was always a pleasure to go in and be greeted by name and say hello to everyone, staff and residents.
