MBK Senior Living is now the operator of the record for Courtyard at Mount Tabor, an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community located in Portland, Oregon. This is the fourth property that MBK will manage for the owner, Strategic Asset Management, and it expands the MBK portfolio to 38 communities throughout the Western United States.
“We’re thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with Smart Asset Management and bring MBK’s culture of care and operational excellence to the residents and families of Courtyard at Mount Tabor,” said Jeff Fischer, President of MBK Senior Living.
Located in southeast Portland, Oregon, the community is situated on 13 acres featuring outdoor courtyards, walking paths, and resort-style amenities. Residents will enjoy the convenience of an on-site beauty salon, chapel, and three libraries, as well as the community’s multiple activity and game rooms, movie theater, fitness room, and health spa.
Residents have access to a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Augmenting each level of care is MBK Senior Living’s signature programming. Courtyard at Mount Tabor residents will enjoy new programming, including MBK Cuisine, Mind+Body Wellness, and Yoi Shigoto Gives Back philanthropic program.
Through these programs, each day brings residents new opportunities for inspiration, invigoration, and wellness. From fresh farm cuisine prepared daily and offered from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, to the vast array of Mind+Body Wellness activities and outings, to the purposeful ways residents and team members get involved in local charities.
“It’s our privilege to provide services and a low-maintenance lifestyle, so residents can pursue what matters most to them,” said Fischer. “Whether it is spending quality time with friends and family, participating in daily activities, continuing lifelong hobbies, or volunteering in the community around them, they’ll find opportunities abound daily.”
“We hope our culture of care and hospitality is felt the moment residents and families walk in our doors,” said Fischer. “We believe our company’s dedication to Yoi Shigoto, or the good work, brings that feeling to life in all MBK communities.”
MBK Senior Living’s authentic Yoi Shigoto (“the good work”) culture has earned the company numerous accolades. Eighteen MBK Senior Living communities have earned “Best of Senior Living” rankings by U.S. News and World Report. Fortune magazine has ranked the company among the Top 50 “Best Workplaces in Aging Services” for the last three years. Year after year, MBK communities have also earned top recognition from A Place for Mom and Caring.com based on resident and family surveys.
