Kristen Curran-Brookham has been appointed to the LeadingAge Colorado Board of Directors. Curran-Bookham is the regional director of sales with MBK Senior Living and currently oversees its nine Colorado and Utah communities.
According to Curran-Brookham, she is pleased to lend 13 years of experience in the senior living industry to advancing LeadingAge Colorado’s efforts to create a favorable policy climate for senior living providers. In her new role, Curran-Brookham will provide insight and first-hand knowledge on how state government actions directly impact the thousands of seniors and families MBK Senior Living serves.
“With a background in all aspects of senior living, supporting the health and wellbeing of seniors has long been a passion,” said Curran-Brookham. “I am pleased to have this opportunity with LeadingAge’s Colorado chapter to further advocacy for seniors, families, and the providers who serve them.”
Curran-Brookham brings a wealth of knowledge and keen perspective to the position. She has supported independent, assisted living, and memory care communities in 15 states and held the role of executive director, regional director of sales & marketing, regional director of resident care, and director of resident programming. She has held her current position with MBK Senior Living since 2019.
“The global pandemic and increased public health governance have drastically impacted senior living providers,” said Curran-Brookham. “It’s a critical time for us to have input and influence on policy, so that we can protect the most vulnerable from Covid-19 while also support their whole-person wellness.”
