September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time when people come together to raise awareness of a disease that affects approximately 44 million people worldwide. This year’s campaign, “Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s” is aimed bringing the warning signs of dementia to light to help people find necessary information and support services.
MBK Senior Living is dedicated to supporting the needs of residents and their loved ones who are impacted by dementia and Alzheimer’s. In addition to offering a secure, stimulating environment for memory care residents to live, MBK supports their physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Our Mind+Body Wellness programming aimed to meet residents at their individual interests and capability. Plus, our memory care team members and supportive services are a resource to families – helping them to connect, engage and celebrate their loved ones.
Annually, MBK communities throughout the Western United States participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year, representatives from MBK’s home office are joining team members from its Southern California communities to walk together in honor of all of MBK’s memory care residents.
