MBK Senior Living has acquired Mariposa Point of Gilbert; an 83-unit assisted living community in Gilbert, Arizona. The community will now operate as Sky Ridge. The close of this sale doubles the company's Valley footprint in less than a year. Valley-wide, MBK owns and operates six communities offering seniors Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care options.
Based in Irvine, California, MBK's portfolio includes 35 communities throughout the Western United States. With over 30 years of experience in senior living, the company has earned a solid reputation for quality care and service delivered through various proprietary programs centered on health, wellness, and enhanced lifestyles. According to Jeff Fischer, president of MBK Senior Living, this acquisition is part of the company's strategic growth plan toward operating 10,000 units. The company added two Arizona properties to its portfolio in November and is also exploring co-investment opportunities in development.

Sky Ridge offers seniors studio, one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments, as well as private and semi-private memory care suites. Among the community's resort-style amenities are an internet lounge, beauty salon, restaurant-style dining room, activities room, beautifully landscaped courtyards, and multiple common areas to gather with friends, families, and neighbors – inside and out. Adding to this array of community amenities are MBK Senior Living's signature programming, including MBK Cuisine, Mind+Body Wellness, Connections for Living memory care, and Yoi Shigoto Gives Back philanthropic program.
