The Reserve at Thousand Oaks' Executive Director Receives Excellence in Service Award

|

Recognized for her leadership and service, MBK Senior Living's executive director at The Reserve at Thousand Oaks, Elizabeth Spencer, was named Outstanding Executive Director by the California Assisted Living Association (CALA). The Excellence in Service award was presented virtually on October 29 at the CALA Conference & Trade Show.

The award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond their job descriptions to provide outstanding care and service to seniors and their families. According to Jeff Fischer, president of MBK Senior Living, Elizabeth exudes all the qualities and expertise of an exceptional executive director.

"We are honored to have Elizabeth on the MBK Senior Living team. She is indeed an outstanding executive director,” said Fischer. “She leads by example, inspires and empowers her team and does it all with a gentle, joyful demeanor that encourages peace of mind for residents and team members alike." said Fischer.

"In a year like no other, Elizabeth's management ability has been tested by wildfire evacuations and a global pandemic. Without a doubt, she handled every challenge she faced courageously with grace and strength," added Fischer.

"This is very humbling. It should go without saying that nothing can be achieved without the amazing team of people who work side-by-side with me daily at The Reserve," said Spencer. "My success is their success by the exceptional service we provide."

The Reserve at Thousand Oaks is a casually upscale senior living community offering independent and assisted living, spacious apartment residences. Every time that I visited my dad, I enjoyed myself from the moment I walked in the door. The place is just alive! It was always a pleasure to go in and be greeted by name and say hello to everyone, staff and residents.
